Fly- 

Crete has 2 airports: Chania (airport code CHQ) which is the closest airport to Arete, only 40 minutes drive away  and Heraklion (airport code HER) which, at approximately 160 kms, is a  2 to 3 hour drive away. Direct charter flights operate from April to the end of October, please see the links for further information. Scheduled flights arrive every day all through the year at Athens.

Easy Jet have recently announced direct flights from Bristol to Heraklion due to start July 2010.

Plus direct flights from Gatwick to Chania, 3 times a week, Tue, Wed and Sun from 23rd May 2010.

Car Hire -

Arete is 3kms from the nearest bus stop and facilities so you will need to arrange some form of transport.  You can hire a car on arrival at the airport or in advance when booking your flight. We will provide detailed directions on booking.

Ferries-
