How to get to Arete.
Fly-
Crete has 2 airports: Chania (airport code CHQ) which is the closest airport to Arete, only 40 minutes drive away and Heraklion (airport code HER) which, at approximately 160 kms, is a 2 to 3 hour drive away.
Direct charter flights operate from April to the end of November, there are numerous airlines who fly direct to Crete.
International flights arrive every day all through the year via Athens International Airport.
